Before moisturizing with Beez' Body Butter, try using this DIY recipe in the shower to exfoliate and remove those dry dead skin cells from the long winter. Dry skin cells can build up on your feet, your back and really anywhere on your body - causing your feet to crack and your body to break out from clogged pores. On top of that, your skin often overcompensates for dry skin by producing more oil also causing breakouts.
Beez and I love this recipe because we have sensitive skin and most exfoliates are too harsh and can even scar your skin and cause major irritation with tiny scratches to your epidermis. Additionally, micro beads were outlawed in 2015 by Obama due to the devastating environmental impact on our oceans and streams due to wastewater treatment plants not being designed to handle this small non-biodegradable plastic. This recipe dissolves quickly after you exfoliate and has no negative impact to the environment. The lemon juice provides Vitamin C which brightens your skin and can help fade scars over time. Vitamin C also contains antioxidants and can boost collagen production. The coconut oil moisturizes your skin while also containing antioxidants and Vitamin E. The granulated white sugar contains two important components, glycolic acid and alpha-hydroxy acid which help maintain perfect oil balance in the skin.
